Not do they only have a LOT of energy, they also have 50% faster skill recharge in HM I believe. Yes, the AI cheat, but we still kill them, right?

... Sounds unpleasant.
But it is gaming standard that AI enemies always cheat. ALWAYS. The very notion of enemy AI playing fair is just absurd.... which is why cheating them back should be allowed. Under most circumstances it isn't.
But if you're that fussed.... bring an anti-knockdown skill and a necro with Spoil Victor or Soul Leech. Heck... bring three necros... with Soul Leech, Spoil Victor and Spiteful Spirit respectively.... in a ward of stability.... and delight at the splash of numbers.

To be quite honest, encountering Char spamming in rapid succession 25e Lingering Curse spells on me... that's not fun. At all.
There's challenging difficulty, and there's unfun difficulty.

pwned IMO. Mobs get some advantages over players but the "limitless energy" myths need to stop.

Awesome. So not only are Mesmers gimped in HM due to lowered ability to interrupt, but they also lose their whole e-denial skills practically useless in HM.

Sorry I haven't reposted. They do eventually run low on energy, at which point they don't cast as often. However, if each Mind Shock is 5 energy + exhaustion, then it's effectively 15 energy removed from their pool (again, assuming normal rules apply). 15 *9 is 135. I know a little would have come back over time (though not much since they had 4s recharge), but don't forget the 18 Lightning Orbs, 9 per drake at 15 energy apiece. Conveniently, 9 * 15 is also 135. There's no way 100 energy is going to support 9 Mind Shocks and 9 Lightning Orbs In rapid succession under normal conditions.
